Still cuts of Yunho’s scenes in ‘Poseidon’ revealed

On the 27th, still cuts of TVXQ Yunho‘s scenes from KBS 2TV‘s ‘Poseidon‘ were revealed.

The still cuts display Yunho in various scenes of the drama. Playing the role of a special forces soldier, he had no trouble acting out his role even while wearing his heavy uniform. The singer who is making a cameo appearance in the drama actually carried out all of his acting scenes on his own, without using a stunt double.

An insider on set reported, “He arrived on set after a long flight but did not show any signs of fatigue. He read over his lines, and was prepared to get into character. Although he is an idol star, he is humble and works very hard. We were shocked by his professionalism.”

On the other hand as “Paradise Ranch” reaches its final episode, the production staff, Lee Yeon Hee, Shim Changmin, SM Entertainment, and Sanhwa Networks all gathered and collected donations in order to help children in third world countries, and these donations were given to deliver the meaning of the “reality of love” and other events were also held.

Presents were also prepared for the fans by Changmin and Yeon Hee. Through the lottery, fans would get the lucky chance to win and be able to watch the final “Paradise Ranch” episode together and other presents. As Changmin looked towards the final airing, he spent an enjoyable time at this event.

On March 15th at 20:00 SBS drama ‘Paradise Ranch’ broadcast an event held in Mok-dong, Seoul that was attended by Choikang Changmin and Lee Yeonhee. At the event Choikang Changmin and Lee Yeonhee who appeared in warm smile donated 10 million won to ‘Fruit of Love’ that was collected through star auction.
In regard to this, to show their thankfulness, ‘Fruit of Love’ presented the two stars a commemoration placard.
Fans who watched this event cheered for the good heart of the ‘Paradise Ranch’ two lead actor/actress Daji (Lee Yeon Hee) and Dongju (Choikang Changmin) via twitter.
Lee Yeon Hee said, “I’m so blessed to have this opportunity to give the donation, we also want to say thank you to all fans.“

The two leads of SBS’s “Paradise Ranch” watched the last episode with 200 fans. They also presented their fans with signed CDs of the drama’s soundtrack, and donated 10 million won to SBS’s ‘Hope TV‘, a fundraising program for charities.
Reflecting over the experience, Lee Yeon Hee mused, “It was an event where I was able to feel my fans’ love. I’m very happy that I was able to watch the last broadcast with my fans, and so it’s a very meaningful experience for me“.
Changmin also stated, “It was my first drama, so everything was new to me and I was able to learn a lot thanks to everyone. I hope that even as time passes, everyone will continue to love ‘Paradise Ranch’. I also ask that you please continue your love and interest in Lee Yeon Hee and I.
“Paradise Ranch” concluded on March 15th, recording a viewership rating of 8.4%.

SM Entertainment, who is responsible for high end celebrities such as TVXQ, BoA, SNSD, and Super Junior, have announced that they will be responsible for the production of an upcoming drama. On March 10th, an official from SM Entertainment said, “We will produce the 2011 drama ‘Hanazakari no Kimitachi e’ (For You in Full Blossom).”
Better known as “Hana Kimi” to fans, the manga sold approximately 17 million copies in Japan, and gained worldwide recognition. Actions by SM Entertainment has been undertaken to get the full-fledges rights to produce the drama.
The storyline of “Hana Kimi” uses the background story of an all male high school that is known for its hot looking male students. Mizuki (the lead female character) enters the all male high school disguised as a boy. The comic ran from 1996 to 2004 and had a explosive reactions from fans. In Japan, the manga sold 17 million copies and it was such a success that special editions of the manga have been released.
Taiwan, as well as Japan, have made a live drama adaptation of “Hana Kimi.” The Taiwanese adaptation was released in 2006 and brought in the highest rating of the year. The Japanese adaptation was released in 2007 and brought in an average of 17.04% in viewers.
The Korean adaptation of “Hana Kimi” is scheduled for 16 episodes that will tell the stories of the students hopes and dreams. The storyline will involve a similar lively plot filled with teenage comedy with a cute twist. There will still be a strong storyline and will have a large cast of “hotties.”
“Beautiful You (아름다운 그대에게/Areumdaun Geudaeyege)” has been planned to prepare its broadcast this summer. Who do you think will play the cast of male student “hotties?” Who will be the lucky girl who plays the lead?

SBS will release a new sitcom called, “Welcome to the Show“, and they’ve already got a stellar list of confirmed cameos from IU, TVXQ, and B2ST!
A representative of SBS’s variety team spoke with Star News on March 9th and confirmed, “IU, TVXQ, B2ST and other idol singers will be trying their hand at sitcom acting.” Although TVXQ will only be making a brief appearance, IU will draw from her “Dream High” experience to act out a full series of lines.
“Welcome to the Show” uses the “Inkigayo” studio as its backdrop, and draws its stories from idols, seniors, juniors, managers, and the producers that run the show. Leading roles were previously announced to be 2AM’s Seulong, 2PM’s Nichkhun, and f(x)’s Sulli, in addition to other older singers.
The project is meant to herald SBS’s comeback to the sitcom drama genre; it’ll be the first series produced in almost three years. At this point, the approximate length of the show remains undecided. Producers will be able to get a grasp of how long they want the series to run after they review ratings and responses from the pilot episode, which is scheduled to air some time this month.

The schedule to air the drama ‘Poseidon’, which has become a hot topic for being Shinhwa’s Eric’s comeback production, in May has fallen through.
According to a SBS Drama Center representative on the 21st, “Though it was reported that ‘Poseidon’ would be aired in May after ‘Midas’ as a SBS Monday-Tuesday drama, SBS has never stated it will be airing ‘Poseidon’.”
He continued to add, “Though it is true that SBS was considering ‘Poseidon’ as a candidate for the time slot, the final conclusion was made to not add it to the schedule.”
It has been found that the SBS Drama Center has been holding discussions to choose the drama that will air after the SBS Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Midas’.
‘Poseidon’ is a production that deals with the stories of the rescue-orientated special task force of the maritime police and stars big names of the industry such as Eric, U-Know Yunho, Kim Kang Woo, Kim Ok Bin and Jeon Hae Bin.
Though filming for the drama began last year, it had to be temporarily suspended due to the YeonPyeongDo shelling incident last December. A representative of one of the celebrities starring in the drama stated, “The filming was stopped due to the weather,” and “We have been informed that filming will recommence in March.”
