There was a period of time when Japanese media splashed news reports of Tohoshinki turning into a duo onto their publications. If that was the case, it makes one wonder about the reactions that the Japanese media would have in response to news that Tohoshinki was making a comeback in the summer. To cut a long story short, they retained the feeling that they had given off in the past, that they are a talented Hallyu group which has the capability to gather all attention to be on them. From their comeback this time around, they appeared on numerous TV programs. Their presence was no longer only limited to being visible to their fans, they have also influenced ordinary Japanese people to shower much attention on them.

There are several reasons why Tohoshinki has become like that. First, commercials and CFs. They appeared on the card CFs of Sogo Departmental Store and Sebu Departmental Store amidst dancing, and that CF was broadcast many times in the summer. The looks of U-Know Yunho and Choikang Changmin, who have become increasingly mature, also left deep impressions on the minds of the public.

Furthermore, in Japan, there are not many programs where singers can sing their songs. There are many situations where, even if one was a singer, he/she would have to appear on variety programs to promote their new songs. When Tohoshinki’s new song was revealed this time around, they appeared on so many programs that once one switched on their TVs, there were almost no programs where Tohoshinki did not take part in. Every now and then, they would play table tennis while accepting interviews, and they even did arm wrestling with SMAP (a popular group in Japan). Being able to not just appeal to a specific group of fans, but also being able to capture the attention of ordinary viewers, the significance of that extent is that they have truly become first-class, top-rate celebrities. Tohoshinki has become celebrities who carry with them attention from all Japanese, regardless of men or women, or the old or the young, causing them to ask when and on which program Tohoshinki will appear in
