BoA, Tohoshinki, Shoujo Jidai, SHINee, Super Junior and other popular artists performed in the live concert “SM TOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL EDITION” which was held on 2-4 September in Tokyo Dome, attracting a total crowd of 150,000 people over 3 days. This is the report of the performance.

“SMTOWN LIVE in TOKYO” was held for the first time in Japan (At the Yoyogi National Gymnasium Hall 1) in January this year, and saw an audience of 24,000 people, selling out tickets in a moment, and leading to the additional performances in “SMTOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL EDITION” being held at Tokyo Dome.

With the number of 150,000 people attending over 3 days, this is the largest “SM TOWN LIVE” in history.  36 members from 11 groups of SM Entertainment artists came together in one night for a dream-like concert, intoxicating the fans.

Popular artists appearing one after the other, but as expected, the loudest cheers were for Tohoshinki. The 2 members appeared at a height of 15 meters above the ground, and moved like this on wires for a distance of 85 meters. As if responding to the fans’ feelings, they performed songs from their single “Superstar” and “Why (Keep Your Head Down) and with Changmin saying “We wan to sing a song from our new album,” they revealed the new song “BUT (BE-AU-TY)” which is recorded in their new album “TONE” to be released on 28 September. With a wild and catchy melody, they sang and danced to this number with the audience fixated on their impressive performance. Also, it has been decided that Tohoshinki’s nation-wide tour will be starting from January next year. Possessing both popularity and outstanding abilities, it can be said that their position is rock-solid.

After 56 songs and four and a half hours, all the artists came together and sang “Light(Hope)”, and the live ended with a happy atmosphere. From the ceiling, many colorful balloons came dancing down, and there were unending smiles on the faces of the 50,000 people. This marks the end of summer 2011, and for those who were in Tokyo dome, this was probably the highlight of their summer.
